Shafqat Amanat Ali khan

Shafqat Amanat Ali is highly respected among music circles due to his classically trained voice and his command over contemporary music. Ankhon Ke Saager, Khamaj, Akhiyan and Neend Na Aye are some of his most popular works. He recently sang the song Phir Wohi Raastey for a pakistani film named Ramchand Pakistani. While he is one of the best current singers in Pakistan, Shafqat has earned a lot of admiration in India as well.
He sang Mitwa for the Indian film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna that topped all charts for weeks. He was also the voice behind the critically acclaimed song Yeh Hausla in the Bollywood film Dor. He also sang background for the films Hello, Mumbai Cuttings and Aashayen.
After leaving the band Fuzon in 2006, Shafqat is concentrating on his solo career. Former band members Imu and Shallum have accused him of many charges. One of the allegations was that he wanted to take complete control of financial affairs of the band and he went on doing solo performances in India without asking Imu and Shallum.
Based on Folk and sufi works the album Tabeer was commissioned and released by Music Today the world over in mid September 2008. However, the rating of this album remained average.
